Uses of water

In the em class we had to watch a video about the uses of water in poor countries and then explain the uses of water

The video shows the life of a boy and a little girl.The boy leave in a house he have lot of
food,clean water and clothe.The little girl leave in a shantytown,she don't have food,clean
water and clothe.In a part of the video it shows the boy trevelling by plane.And when he
arrived to his destiny, he appears in the shantytown,where he find the girl and give her some
clean water,so she drink it.In my opinion i think that people must do something for people
that don't have enough money to drink clean water because they don't have,it's important
and also because they can die

Uses of water:
• Domestic
• Industrial
• Agricultural
Examples:
• To clean the dishes and for waste disposal
• In factories and for power
• For irrigation

Dams

In the em class we had to prepare two activities.First we had to talk about advantages and disadvantages about building large dams.Then we had to search information about any famous dam.I did it with Manuel

1)a-Advantages of building large dams:
• Water supplies are assured throughout the country
• Cultivated area increased
• Farmers increase crops

Disadvantages of building large dams:
• People are forced to move from their houses
• Sometimes they can't find another house
• It expensive
• Destruction of the enviroment
• Can cause floodings

4)The three gorges dam is located in the Yiling district,hubei province in china. This dam is the world's largest power station in terms of instaled capacity. The Three gorges dam was built across the Yangtze River to control the amount of water allowed through. This created a massive artificial lake which has become an international tourist attraction.

Advantages of three gorges dam:

• Power generation
• Cruise ships generation
Disadvantages of three gorges dam:
• Water pollution
• Migration problem
• Enviromental problem
