Honesty is controversial nowasays. Some people are dishonest because they don't want to hurt anyone but,is this helpful?

It is impossible to be honest to your friends all the time. Many people have good relationships but sometimes friendship can be ruined if people are honest,for example if you think that your friend have something that you don't like,maybe you should not tell her/him because you can hurt your friend and that can ruin your friendship

Most people have lied at some time or another to authorities about minor matters but for important thing you should tell the truth. Most of the people who lie to the authorities is because they did something wrong,for example if at school you break something and you are asked if you know something,you may lie,so you cannot be punished. Other example is when you fail an exam and you lie to your parents to avoid beeing punished

To conclude i think that beeing honest is very important because you are saying your real point of view and you are not hiding because you are afraid of what people can say,but i would prefer to be dishonest because i don't like to hurt people and also because sometimes i don't want to show my real opinion
